Earlier poster describing the same two patients; complete healing was outside the observation period.

Key findings

  • Patient 1 (66-year-old man; 13 cm hip wound, not suitable for negative pressure therapy): rapid improvement over 15 days of twice-weekly review.
  • Patient 2 (49-year-old woman with multi-resistant bone infection): exudate decreased within a week and dressing changes were reduced to every third day; she was discharged with outreach support.
  • The authors observed reduced pus and rapid reduction in wound size and depth, but complete healing was not observed within the time frame.
