Key findings
- Patient 1 (66-year-old man with haemophilia; 13 cm hip wound where negative pressure therapy was unsuitable): the wound healed by 8 August, allowing preparation for a prosthetic limb.
- Patient 2 (49-year-old woman with multi-resistant bone infection after hip and pelvis surgery): exudate decreased within a week, allowing dressing changes every third day; the wound had virtually healed by 9 July.
- The authors report the dressing was easy to apply and remove, retained fluid and stayed strong when wet, allowing one-piece removal.
